Many teams are involved in the issuance of the ESM and EFSF bonds. The EFSF February 2034 was priced on 5 February but the work still continues. Today the ESM Back Office colleagues take care of the settlement. Thank you to Maria Luisa Martos, Marta Espinosa Barcena and Fábio Vidal for always ensuring that our bonds settle smoothly!

And we continue today in Qatar! Excellent meetings here confirming an increased interest in EUR SSA names from the region. In yesterday’s EFSF transaction we saw a higher investor participation from the Middle East to 4% from the usual 2%. Many thanks to Dorothée Amar at Goldman Sachs for an excellent organization.

A long full day in #abudhabi 🇦🇪 After landing at 6am, kicked off with an 8am regional briefing by Fadi Abuali - CEO of Goldman Sachs Middle East. Excellent meetings with the Arab Monetary Fund - our peer institution in the Middle East. We met the new Chairman Fahad M. Alturki, PhD and his excellent team. Over lunch, we exchanged with the 27 EU Ambassors to UAE about Middle-East & EU collaboration. Thank you to Ambassador Lucie Berger - European Union Delegation to the UAE for organizing. For ESM Funding and Investor Relations, we had multiple excellent investor meetings during the day. We are grateful to all investors that are buying the ESM bills and bonds. We have seen an increased appetite from the region! We finished the evening with a dinner hosted by Arab Monetary Fund till midnight. 🙏 A great first day. Looking forward to tomorrow!

🌟 Exciting News from the ESM Funding and Investor Relations team 🌟 🚀 We are thrilled to announce our market debut via syndication for EFSF and auction for ESM🎉 Yesterday we had a successful issuance of an EFSF Dual Tranche: New 5Y and Tap AUG 2038! In a strategic move, we opted for a dual tranche approach, leveraging the robust investor interest we witnessed in the first week of January. 🔹 Our offering includes a new 5-year bond and a tap of the 2038 bond, providing investors with compelling alternatives amidst the prevalent 10-year supply in the market this week. We are grateful for the continued support and strong demand from our investors. Today we issued the first ESM bill of 2024 using Bundesbank’s upgraded bidding system EBS (EFSF/ESM Bidding System) which allows our dealers to put orders/bids on a yield basis rather than on a price basis. We extend our gratitude to Bundesbank for their invaluable support over the years. 🌟These two milestones mark the beginning of an exciting journey in 2024!
