With an issuance volume of EUR4bn in Q1, the Schuldschein market has indeed had a somewhat subdued start to 2024. However, the fact that French issuers have finally returned to the market after a long absence in 2023 seems to be much more important than the pure issuance volume. This indicates that the Schuldschein market is now fully open again to solid non-German issuers.
