The Italian economy has faced significant challenges in recent years, prompting the government to introduce the 2020 Recovery Decree. This decree has opened up new opportunities for Italian banks, granting them the ability to issue Commercial Papers (CPs) - short-term liquidity instruments that were previously reserved for corporates only. As a result we are starting to see more and more Italian Banks active in this space.
