The recent performance of the World Bank Treasury has been outstanding. Managing the issuance for both the IBRD and IDA it completed USD64bn of ESG funding in fiscal year 2024, representing the largest collective volume of supranational treasury team globally. It's innovation also continues to push the bounds of what is possible within the ESG space, having issued the world's first Amazon Reforestation-Linked outcome bond in 2024. This incredible performance is facilitated by the Investor Relations team who, during FY2024, conducted over 200 meetings across five continents, while continuing to set the market standard for ESG frameworks and reporting. These factors accompanied by market feedback, from interviews and surveys, make the World Bank Treasury a deserving winner of both the (1) Best ESG Issuer and (2) Best ESG Investor Relations Team.
