  • Settlements in the commercial paper (CP) and certificate of deposit (CD) market in 2014 reached USD3.47trn, against redemptions of USD3.34trn.  This resulted in a USD125bn expansion in the market in 2014.
  • The FIG (Financial Institutions Group) sector expanded by USD104bn, while Sovereign, Supranational and Agency (SSA) outstandings grew by USD11.5bn. Corporate outstandings increased by USD9.2bn.
  • The largest increase in outstandings in 2014 came from Credit Suisse - the bank added approximately USD17bn to previous figures. This is followed by European Investment Bank, which expanded by USD13.5bn. 
  • Rabobank led the short-term dealer league table in 2014, with very large FIG and SSA tickets. BNP Paribas came in 2nd place, as it saw strong activity on Belgian trades.


The 2015 CMDportal Debt Capital Markets Awards credit the best performances of Issuers, Dealers and Investors in the fixed income market in the previous 12 months. Winners are decided on in three stages:
- an online poll, where voting was open to a global audience of over 18,000 registered fixed income professionals,
- league table ranking, and
- extensive interviews with the nominees.
