Capital market integration is essential for fostering economic growth, enhancing financial stability, and improving social welfare across the European Union. But how can we advance integration effectively?
To explore this critical issue, the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), the Florence School of Banking and Finance (FBF) and the Centre for Economic Policy Research are hosting a high-level Conference on the EU Savings and Investment Union.
This two-day event will bring together senior researchers and top representatives from the public and private sectors to discuss the benefits of capital market integration and the policy priorities needed to drive progress. The conference will feature an academic session followed by a high-level policy forum.
This event comes at a pivotal moment, as the European Commission has just released its strategy on the Savings and Investment Union. The conference will provide a timely opportunity to reflect on the Commission's and other proposals as well as their implications.
