For the first time in four years, Euromoney Conferences and the ECBC will once again bring the global covered bond community together in Singapore for the Asian Covered Bond Roadshow 2023.
Against a backdrop of rising volatility, tightening monetary policy and a deteriorating economic outlook in Europe, the Asian covered bond market holds huge potential, with issuance from banks in the region providing European investors with much-needed opportunities for diversification. At the same time, with housing finance requirements - especially in emerging Asia - growing significantly, covered bonds could play an increasingly important role in channelling private capital towards the finance of mortgages in the region.
The Asian Covered Bond Roadshow will provide the chance for issuers and investors in Asia to meet face-to-face with their global peers in an efficient and interactive setting, to discuss what global macroeconomic and policy changes mean for the future of the covered bond market in Asia - and to debate how best to harness the excellent opportunities that the Asian market holds for issuers and investors alike.
