Join us for the third edition of the External Statistics Conference, "External statistics in the age of geoeconomics: challenges and opportunities in a changing global landscape".
When: 28–29 May 2026
Where: Krakow, Poland
Organised by the Irving Fisher Committee on Central Bank Statistics of the BIS and the European Central Bank, and hosted by the Narodowy Bank Polski (NBP), the conference seeks proposals for papers on:
• Analysis of cross-border trade, finance and environmental factors in a fragmented world, including the roles of non-bank financial institutions and multinational enterprises.
• Updated statistical frameworks to better capture phenomena such as globalisation, digital trade, e-commerce and cryptoassets.
• Leveraging innovation for and better communicating of external statistics.
• Linking data sources to support analytical and/or compilation tasks.
• Strengthening global collaboration to promote better data consistency and exchange of information.
