The universe of corporate borrowers includes every entity that is not an SSA, FIG, an Insurance Company or a Fund. This universe is very diverse and incorporates a wide range of industry sectors. It includes telecommunication firms, Oil and Gas, Automotive, Real Estate, Household Goods and Textiles, Food & Drink producers, Technology firms, Electricity companies, Retailers, Transport & Shipping, Energy, Health and many other incorporated commercial entities. The term corporate is also used by investment banks in the context of defining the remit of an operation or desk focussed on servicing a specific market. The term is used in contrast with SSA and FIG markets. At CMDportal this group also includes Water companies and other utilities and financial corporates, like finance companies. The industry sector is determined by how a borrower derives the majority of its revenue.
