Definition: A State Guaranteed entity is an entity whose debt instruments are guaranteed by the State.  The entity may or may not be owned, managed and or controlled by the State, but carries as a result of the guarantee the same credit rating as the State. These entities are part of the public sector as opposed to the private sector. Entities whose debt instruments are only in part guaranteed by the State do not fall within this entity type.
